     This is the grave of
         Patrick Savage
    who is an Irish immigrant
The Sabages came to this area from
New York state in the earl 1850's

        Margaret 1837-1902
        Patrick 1822-1916

        Margaret and Patrick
 were the first Catholic settlers
      in the Big Rapids area

Patrick arranged for the first
priest to serve this rural area
