Born abt. 1825 in Ireland; died 28 May 1873, age 48 years,  in Morley.  

Additional Comments:
Death date on tombstone is incorrect.  James Davis was shot and killed on the 
streets of Morley (Big Rapids Magnet 6 Jun 1872)during a dispute in a bar.  
The bartender was charged with manslaughter but was found not guilty after 
trial and had shot Davis in self defense.
