Mrs. DUNLOP had not been in the best of health for several years, and as age crept on her condition did not show signs of improvement. For the past winter her daughter, Mrs. C. V. NIMS and husband of Chaumont, NY have made their home with her and their presence at the residence has made it much more agreeable for the elderly woman. Mrs. Esther BOWEN DUNLOP was born in Winham, Ontario in 1847 and departed this life at her home on Friday, April 1, 1932. There are three living children and one son, Lewis DUNLOP having preceded her in death. Those left to mourn their loss are: a son, Allen DUNLOP of North Bradley, two daughters; Cora B. of Pontiac and Mrs. Mary H. NIMS of Chaumont, NY. Also an adopted daughter of a sisters' child from the age of two years old as one of the family, Mrs. Maude SHARP of Shepherd; two sisters, Mrs. Cordelia JOHNSON of Coleman and Mrs. Lydia OWENS of North Bradley; two brothers, Oscar BOWEN of Muskegon and Peter BOWEN of Estacada, Oregon; six grandchildren: Alex DUNLOP of N. Bradley, Glen DUNLOP of Detroit, Ray DUNLOP of Saginaw, Donald DUNLOP of N. Bradley, Mrs. Hellen KELLER of Coleman and Mrs. Mildred WALTON of N. Bradley; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the house Sunday afternoon with the Rev. V. J. Hufton officiating and interment in the Coleman Cemetery."
