ENDS HER LIFE IN HOTEL ROOM Woman, Separated From Husband, Found Dead From Overdose of Oil of Tansy. Pontiac, Mich., October 29. – An overdose of oil of tansy caused the death of Mrs. Eva Tripp at the Hotel Columbia late last night. The woman had been employed as a waitress at the Hotel Hodges, but yesterday afternoon registered at the Columbia as Miss Kremer, and was assigned to a room. About 11 o’clock Proprietor W. C. Cavender was attracted by groans from the room and called a physician. The woman died before the physician reached her. A half empty bottle of oil of tansy was found among her effects, and a post mortem this morning revealed that the drug was the cause of death. Mrs. Tripp had separated from her husband, Roy Tripp, but was not divorced. Coroner Farmer empaneled a jury, and will conduct an inquest Saturday morning. Mrs. Tripp was the daughter of George Raymond, of Hope, Mich., and had been here about six months.—Detroit Free Press, October 30. Miss Eva Raymond was united in marriage to Roy Tripp in August, 1907, at Hope by Rev. J. Brainard Brown and both young people are well known in Midland County. The body was brought to Midland Wednesday evening. Obituary for Eva Tripp Midland Republican, 7 Nov 1912, page 8. NORTH HOPE New Church Organization.
