The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Joseph Herman Newman, 77, of Coleman, passed away July l, 1999, at the Intensiva Hospital of Flint following a lingering illness. He was born on April 3, 1922, and was born to the late William Arron Newman and Pearl Coreen Snell. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was united in marriage on September 16,1947 in Alba, Alabama to Robbbie Inez (Pierce) Newman whom survives him in death. Surviving family members are wife, Robbie Inez Newman of Coleman, son, Chuck (Sharon) Newman of TN, daughter, Donna (Paul) Bentley of Coleman, daughter, Lina (Dr. James) Watt of farwell, 4 sisters, and l brother, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was conducted at 5:00 pm, Monday, July 5, 1999 at the Coleman Wesleyan Church in Coleman, MI. The Pastor David Cox officiated. Cremation has taken place at Autumn Valley Crematory in Prudenville, MI. Arrangements were made through Great Lakes Cremation Service, Harrison, MI. Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association.
