Burck, 77, owner of Monroe Steam Laundry and co-owner of Monroe Linen Supply, died at 2:10 a.m. today in his hame at 310 S. Macomb St. Ill a year, he had been in a serious condition since April 1. The body will be taken from Earle Little funeral home to the crematory at Woodland Cemetery, Toledo. The Laundry will be closed from 2 p.m. to closing time Firday in respect to Mr. Burck. Born Nov. 7, 1878, at Monroe he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian J. Burck. He attended Monroe Public Schools and was graduated from Monroe High School. His graduation from University of Michigan as a chemical engineer was in 1903. He married Harriett McCleskey March y, 1904, at Dallas, Tes. They spent five years in Argentina, where Mr. Burck was chief chemist for International Portland Cement Co., and returned to Monroe in 1922. He was a member of Monroe Lodge 27, F and AM; River Raisin Chapter 22, Royal Arch Masons; Detroit Consistory and Moslem Shrine of Detroit and American Institute of Laundries of Joliet, Ill. He is survived by his wife' a daughter, Mrs. E. F. Lautner of Monroe' a granddaughter Mrs. Robert H. Griswold of Clifton Springs, N. Y., and a great-granddaughter, Jan Burck Griswold.
