Macomb St. died at 11 this morning in Clifton Springs Sanatorium, N. Y.; where she had been since suffering a heart attack two weeks ago. She and her daughter, Mrs. E. F. Lautner of South Monroe Townsite, were visiting Mrs. Lautners son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Griswold at Clifton Springs, when she suffered the attack. A memorial service will be Tuesday in St. John's Episcopal Church of Clifton Springs. The body will be cremated. The Well Funeral Home of Clifton Springs will be in Charge of arrangements. The Daughter of Pierce and Virginia McCleskey, she was born Sept. 19, 1878, at Omaha, Neb. Her marriage to Christian A. Burck was March 7, 1904 at Dallas, Tex. They spent five years in Argentina where Mr. Burck was chief chemist for International Portland Cement Co. They came to Monroe in 1922. Mr. Burck was owner of the Monroe Steam Laundry and co-owner of the Monroe Linen Supply at the time of his death June 13 1956. Mrs Burck was a member and past worthy matron of Monroe Chapter 226, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member and past regent of Nancy DeGraff Toll Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lautner of Monroe; her granddaughter, Mrs. Griswold, and a great-great-granddaughter, Jan Griswold.
