Barron Sr., 77 of 15489 Eastwood Dr., South Monroe Townsite, died at 1 this morning in Mercy Hospital Unit where he had been for two weeks. He had been in poor health for two years and seriously ill since he entered the hospital. Friends may call after 7 tonight in the Allore Funeral Home where prayer services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home and 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic church. The Rev Ted Fujawa will officiate and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetary, LaSalle. The son of Samuel and Celine Barron, he was born March 31, 1899 in Newport. He married Dora Straub Nov. 24 1925 in Maybee. A life-long resident of the Monroe area, he was a Member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He retired in 1962 after 32 years of employment at Consolidated Paper Co. (now Consolidated Packaging Corp.) where he was employed as a shipping clerk. Surviving are a son, Cletus Barron Jr. of Monroe; a daughter, Miss Donna Barron of Monroe; two brothers, Maurice and Bernard of Monroe; a sister, Mrs Mable Cronenwett of Monroe; six grandchildren; a great grandchild and serveral nieces and nephews. we was preceded in death by his wife in 1967 and a daughter.
