Monroe Evening News
Services have been set for Sylvia A. Cole, 42 of Monroe, who dies Thursday at 
Mercy Memorial Hospital. She had been in ill health for a year.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 tonight and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Rupp Funeral 
Home, where a wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. She will lie in 
state from 9 untill services at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church. 
The Rev. Stephen Rooney, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be 
in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.

Born June 4, 1962, In Monroe, she was the daughter of Carson P. Cadle and 
Josephine (Gutterize) Cadle. She married Christopher L. Cole March 11, 1983, 
at Grace Lutheran Church, in Toledo, Ohio.

She was employed at Atlas World Travel, Toledo. She served in the Army from 
March, 1980, to March 1986.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary to Donald M. Squier Post 3943, 
Veterans of the Foreign Wars, Newport, and Women's International Bowling 
Congress.

Surviving are her husband; her mother; a son, Christopher L. II of Monroe; two 
daughters, Melissa(Derrick) Lauderdale of Jacksonville, N.C., and Stephanie 
Cole, of Monroe; and a brother, Carson P. (Gerri) Cadle, of Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her father. Memorials may be made to St. 
Michael's We Care or Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
