Feb 20, 1936 Cunningham, Dr. J. E. February 12, 1936 Former Carletonite Burried Monday Dr. J. E. Cunningham, a former resident of this vicinity, died in St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing, Wednesday. Funeral services were held in St. Agnes' Church, Fowler-ville, Monday and he was buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Dr. Cunningham was born and raised two miles west of Carleton. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cunningham, were pioneer settlers in the community, their home having been located on the Carleton- Scofield road. Before taking up the study of medicine Dr. Cunningham taught the Longbridge school in Exter township.
