Pfluge Special to the Evening News MAYBEE -- Oct. 6 (1939) Relatives in this vicinity received word of the death and burial of Edward George Pfluge, aged 56, former teacher in Monroe county, at Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Pfluge, who had taught several years in Florida and was county school commissioner there four years, died October 2. The son of the late Theodore and Margaret Pfluge, he was born in Raisinville township on July 20, 1883 and was married to Miss Cora Richards daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Richards of Carleton, on September 1, 1909. Eight children were born to this union; three preceding him in death. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Waldron at home and Richard of Jackson; three daughters; Mrs. Margaret Gregory of Richmond, Michigan, Winifred and Floy at home; three brothers and one sister; Theodore of Monroe, William and George and Mrs. Rose Faulhaber of the Steward road, two half brothers; Fred Yost of Stewart road and John of Detroit and a half- sister, Mrs. Mary Lamkin of Ontario ! California. Services and burial were held Wednesday.
