John G. Yost, 84, Dies in His Home
November 17, 1952  

John G. Yost, 84, died at 3:10 p.m. yesterday in his home, 976 Patterson 
Dr.  He had been ill for three years and seriously ill for the last eight 
weeks.  Born June 12, 1868, in Raisinville Township, he was the son of 
Joseph and Margaret Stadler Yost.  He married Thressa Faulhaber Nov. 24, 
1897 at Monroe.  A retired carpenter, he had lived at Monroe all his life 
with the exception of 20 years at Detroit.  Mr. and Mrs. Yost celebrated 
their golden wedding anniversary at a reception in 1947.  Survivors are a 
son, Floyd of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Marta Tossel of Indianapolis and 
Mrs. Myrtle Kenney of East Orange, N.J.; six grandchildren and three 
stepbrothers, William Pfluge and George Pfluge of Raisinville township and 
Theodore Pfluge of Detroit Beach.  Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday 
in the Rupp funeral home.  Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery., John, of
