Lockwood, 68, of Newport, Mich., whose varied career was concluded as a salesman for B&B Realty of Monroe, died Monday, Nov. 11, 1991, in Flower Hospital, Toledo, of complications of a stroke. Mr. Lockwood, a Detroit native, graduated from the Ann Hale Beauty School of Detroit and then operated the Wonderland Beauty School of Livonia. He was employed by the N&W Railroad at Detroit from 1940 until 1972. During that time, he worked for two Monroe car dealers, Groulx Oldsmobile and Wittkop Pontiac. In addition, he worked for the federal Census Bureau for several years and other realty firms, including Carol Bollo Realty, New World Realty and Pollack Realty. He was a member of the Michigan Association of Realtors and Monroe County Multi-List. He held a Michigan State Assessors Level One certificate. Mr. Lockwood served two terms as president of the Stony Pointe Beach Association. He was a volunteer with RSVP-Monroe, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Family Counseling and Shelter Services, Monroe Community Players and AARP Tax Counseling. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Lockwood earned a degree from Monroe County Community College in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Linda; three sons, Timothy, Christopher and Kevin; two stepsons, James Owens II and Michael Owens; one daughter, Karen Riehle; one stepdaughter, Martina Blevins; six grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be from noon-9 p.m. today in the Allore Funeral Home, 203 E. Elm, Monroe. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. dz
