Apr. 2 1908 p.3 Maybee News-Died at her home east of the village on Saturday March 21st, Mrs Daniel Hasley, Sr.., after a lingering illness. Funeral Tuesday at 1'clock p.m. from the house, Rev. Beidlespacher, pastor of the St Paul's Lutheran church officiating. Also, p. 3 Mrs. Daniel Hasley Sr.,-At her home east of the village Mrs. Daniel Hasley passed peacefully away Saturday morning, March 21st. Margaret Mann was born July 26th, 1832 in Sieferchiem, Hessen, Germany and came to America with her parents at the age of 18 years and settled in Monroe In June 22, 1858 she was united in marriage to Daniel Hasley at Exeter, Township, and moved into the home where she lived until her death, she was the mother of 11 children, three of who, with her husband preceeded her, there remains to mourn a kind and loving mother, four daughters Mrs. Christina Herkimer, Mrs Otilla Herkimer, Mrs Dr. D. A. Lennington, and Miss Mary Hasley, all of this place and four sons, Daniel, John, and William of Maybee and Dr. Phillip of Flat Rock. The funeral services were held from St Paul's Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon, March 24th Interment in McIntyre Cemetery. From Monroe Democrat March 27th 1908, Page 2 Column 1 Maybee Mrs Daniel Hasley Sr. died at her home near Maybee on Saturday March 21st . The deseased was born in Siesersheim, Hessen, Germany, July 26, 1832. She came to Monroe, in 1850 and in 1850 to Exeter Township where she was married to Daniel Hasley who died 14th years ago. She leaves 8 children, Daniel, J.C., Will, Mary, Mrs C. Herkimer, Mrs, H. C. Herkimer, Mrs. A. B. Lennington, of Maybee, and Dr. Phillip Hasley of Flat Rock besides a host of friends to mourn her departure. Mrs Hasley came to Exeter when it was a wilderness, and assisted her husband in making improvements. She was one of the early settlers and had lived 50/years in the same place where she died. Funeral services were held at the new St Pauls Lutheran Church March 24th Rev. Beidelspacher officiating. Interment in the McIntyre Cemetery.
