The deceased was born in Adrian, November 27, 1859 where he lived until 10 years old, wh(e)n his parents moved to a farm in Raisinville. Here he remained until 1881 when he went to Rushville with Thomas Keegan and John Maurer, who were there erecting a duplicate of the Monroe court house and after that he made that city his home. He followed different occupations, but his last was that of a grocer, at which he was very successful, until five years ago, when he retired from business in his endeavor to regain his health. On May 14, 1902, he came here - to die as it proved - and stayed with his brothers. His wife died four years ago and he is survived by three children, Edith, Gertrude, and George, and five brothers, Charles, Joh(n), and Henry of this city and Leonard and Frank of North Dakota. Funeral services were held from St. John's church Monday morning, Rev. Fr. O'Rorke officiating.
