Peters, aged 46 years. The funeral services will be held this Friday noon by Rev. H. Zapf, of Zion Luthe- ran church. Mr. Peters was a member of the German Benefical Union and the German Working Men's Society, and is survived by his wife, two daughters and four sons. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Monroe Evening News June 23, 1952 Robert W. Peters Robert William Peters, 61, World War I veteran, died of a heart attack at 1 a.m. yesterday in his home at 654 Western Ave., where he lived with his sister, Miss Meta Peters. He had been in poor health for a year and in a serious condition for three days. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Earle Little funeral home with Rev. Raymond A. Hein of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peters, he was born Jan. 22, 1891, at Two Rivers, Wis., and came to Monroe at the age of 5. He married Clara Ann Stoll at Toledo and she preceded him in death Feb. 22, 1949. Before ill health forced his retirement he was crane operator for the River Raisin Paper Co. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Monroe Post 1138, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Monroe Lodge 884, Loyal Order of Moose, and Monroe Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by two stepsons, Dalvin and Edward D. Stoll. both of Monroe; a stepdaughter; Mrs. Claude W. Salsgiver of Evergreen Acres; a brother, Rudolph Peters of monroe, and his sister, Miss Meta. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Monroe Evening News Oct. 24, 1962 Deaths Rudolph F. Peters Rudolph F. Peters, 65, of 925 S. Custer Rd. suffered a heart attack at his home this morning and was dead on arrival at 9 a.m. at Monroe Hospital. He had been ill four years. Friends may call after 7 tonight in the Allore Funearl Home. Services will be at 2 p.m.Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church where the body will lie in state from 11a.m. untill the time of the services. The Rev. Gerhard M. Cares will officiate, and burial will be in Roselawn Park Cemetery in LaSalle. Mr. Peters was born Dec. 25 1896, at Monroe, the son of Carl and Marie Peters. He married Minna WaterstradtJune 21, 1933, at Dundee. He was a veteran of World War I and retired four years ago after 35 years of employment at the Consolidated Paper Co. where he worked as an elevator operator. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church Men's Club. Surviving are his wife; a son, Frederick of Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Marie) Yoas of Newport, Miss Marian Peters, at home, and Mrs. Theodore (Carol) Warner of Monroe; a sister, Miss Meta Petres of Monroe, and seven grandchildren. Peters Miss MetaL. Peters, 90, of 654 Western Ave, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in FrenchtownConvalescent Center, where she had been for 1 1/2 years. She had been ill for six weeks. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday in the Allore Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Daniel Hennig of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Born Aug. 17, 1889, Two Rivers, Wis., she was the daughter of Carl and Marie (Schmell) Peters. She lived in Monroe most of her life. She retired in 1954 after working 36 yearts at the Weis Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Mrs. Rudolph Peters of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister. Monroe Evening News Dec 17, 1979 Meta L. Peters Bearers for Miss Meta L. Peters, 90, of 654 Western Ave. who died Tuesday in Frenchtown Convalescent Center, were Carl VanWasshnova, Dennis VanWasshnova, James Gaynier, Joseph Peters, David Warner and Aaron Warner. ________________________________________________________________________________ Monroe Evening News Feb 22, 1949 Mrs. Robert Peters Mrs. Robert (Clara) Peters, 61, of 1023 Wolverine Ave. died of a heart ailment at 4:10 a.m. today in Mercy Hospital. She suffered a heart attack 10 days ago and entered the hosptial Saturday. The body is at the Earle Little funeral home pending arrangements. Born March 20, 1887, in Raisinville Township, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scholl. She was married to Walter Stoll, then to Frank LaPointe and on April 3, 1925, to Robert W. Peters. She was a member of Women of the Moose and the Ladies' Arbeiter Society. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Devin Stoll and Edward D. Stoll, both of Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Claude W. Salsgiver of Monroe; two brothers, John W. Scholl of Raisinville Township and Irving G. Scholl of Monroe; a sister, Mrs Andrew Bondy of Monroe and two grandchildren. ______________________________________________________________________________________ January 28, 1932 Otto W. C. PETERS War Veteran, Dies Served 14 Months Overseas and was shell shocked at the Marne Otto W. C. Peters, aged 37 years died at Monroe Hospital Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. after an illness of six months. Death was due to a complication of diseases. He was born in Monroe June 17, 1894, and had lived here all of his life. Mr Peters was married to Edna V. Schmidt June 30, 1917. He was a corporal in the World War, serving with Company D, 125th Infantry, and Company E, 240th Infantry. He served 26 months during the war, 14 months of which were spent overseas. Mr. Peters was shell shocked in the second battle of the Marne. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Mansonic Order. Besides the widow he is survived by two children, Dilbert William, aged 6 years, and Barbara Jean, aged 2 years; his mother Mrs. Marie Peters, two sisters, Meta and Augusta, and three brothers, Adolph, Robert and Rudolph, all of Monroe, and several relatives. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. January 29, 1932 Otto Peters Services Funeral services for Otto W. C. Peters, aged 37 years, who died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Henry Zapf, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran cemetery. _______________________________________________________________________________________ February 1, 1932 Rites fo Otto Peters Funeral services for Otto W. C. Peters, World War veteran, who died Wednesday, were held Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev,. Henry Zapf officiating. Pall bearers were Henry Aseltyne, Frank Van Ripper, William Meeks, Edward Kreuchauf, Richard Stein and Albert Waltz. Out of town visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Custer, Mrs. Tool and Mr. Sponholz of New York and Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Isherwood of Flint. Peters Adolph A. Peters, 62, a resident of Monroe 58 years, died at 3 a.m. today in his home at 1242 North Monroe St. He had been ill three years. Friends may call at the Allore and Holcomb funeral home. Futher arrangements are pending. Mr. Peters was a World War I veteran and retired three years ago from the Detroit and Toledo Shoreline Railroad after 28 years of service. He wa sborn April 7, 1888, at Two Rivers, Wis., the son of Carl and Marie Peters. His marriage to Sabina Kehres was May 15, 1909, in St. John's Rectory. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and attended Zion School. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Kenneth of Newport, Carl of Bolles Harbor and Thomas at home; four daughters, Mrs. Irla Bomia os LaSalle, Mrs. Floyd Fix of Newport, Mrs. Elton Van Washnova of Monroe and Miss Patrica Ann Peters at home; two brothers, Robert and Rudolph of Monroe; a sister, Miss Meta Peters of Monroe, and seven grandchildren. dz
