Monroe Evening Newspaper
Hobart Landis Shipe 79, of Monroe, died today @ 1:25 p.m.  He was the son of 
Jesse and Iva Shipe.  

Hobart married Lillie Mae Hounshell on December 5, 1950 in Toledo Ohio.  

He is survived by two sons, two daughters, and six great-grand children.  He 
was preceded in death by his wife Lillie, a son Kenneth H. Shipe, and both 
parents.  

Additional Comments:
After Hobart retired, and lost our mom, he went back to West Virginia until 
his death.  He worked for 43 years at Kelsey Hayes in Romulus Michigan before 
retiring.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, and spending time with his 
relatives in WV.
