Spaulding, 66, of 14300 Dixon RD., a lifelong resident of Dundee died early this morning in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. He had been ill for two years and in the hospital two days. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Buhl Funeral Home, where services will be at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Dundee. Born Jan. 18, 1913 in Dundee, he was the son of Frederick and Eva May (Palmer) Spaulding. He married Dorothy Phillips on March 14, 1936. He retired in 1977 after 32 years as a machine operator for Woodall Industries, Monroe. Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael of Dundee; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Smith of Ecorse; two brothers, Carl of Jasper and William of Dundee; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Edith) Heiden of Dundee and Mrs. Russell (Lottie Mae) Bolster of Petersburg; four grandchildren, and a great- grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter; a brother, Ernest, and a sister, Mrs. Rhea Shankleton. Saturday, October 4, 1986
