OBITUARY The children as well as the community were shocked last Sunday to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Adeline Sancrante at her home in LaSalle. The deceased had been ill but three day's when the end came. Adeline Countway was born in Detroit June 29th, 1831, and died in LaSalle Feb 28th, 1915, age 83 years, 8 months, 29 days. In 1846 she was united in marriage to Chas. Sancrainte, from which union eleven children were born, of who three, also her husband, have preceded her in death. Eight children are left to mourn her loss. James and Frank of LaSalle; Mrs. Eugene Day, Mrs. Clarissa Nadeau, Mrs Maggie St Bernard, and Joseph Sancrainte of Monroe; Mrs. Mary Pete of Erie; Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts of Toledo; also 40 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held from the home on Wednesday morning from St Mary's Church, of which she had been almost a life long member; services being conducted by her pastor, Rev. Fr. Henry DeGryse, and was very largely atte! nded. The children have the sympathy of the neighborhood in the loss of their mother, especially, her son Frank, who has always remained with her and is now left alone. Obituary of Mrs John P.(Bertha F.)
