She had been seriously ill since August. Friends may call after I p.m. Tuesday in the Allore Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday by Bob Gerson, pastoral minister at St. Charles Catholic Church in Newport. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and at 10 at St. Anne Catholic Church. The Rev. David Brock will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Born Oct. 5, 1895, in Newport, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary (Frey) Blanchette. She was married May 5, 1925, to Hamilton O. Soncrant in St. Charles Church in Newport. He died April 8,1987. Mrs. Soncrant was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and its Altar Society. Surviving are a son, Hamilton H. of Redford; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Shirley) Cousino of South Rockwood and Mrs. Allan (Joann) Wagenhauser of Monroe; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin and Christopher Blanchette; and a half-sister, Louise Barron. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Monroe.
