Pfluge, 74, of 417 Sackett Ave. died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in his home. He had been in poor health for six years and seriously ill for three weeks. Friends may call after 6 tonight in the Allore-Sprow Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Thursday. The rosary also will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by Monroe Council 1266, Knights of Columbus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home and at 10 in St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. Carl Gentner will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Born March 2, 1912, in Monroe, he was the son of Godfrey and Teresia (Fischer) Pfluge. He married Gertrude (Trudy) Bourbina Oct. 26, 1940, in St. Mary's Church. He was employed by the Livonia plant of the Ford Motor Co. from 1964 until his retirement in 1974. Prior to that, he was employed by Monroe Auto Equipment Co. from 1941 to 1964 and by the Newton Steel Co. from 1932 to 1941 He was a life! member of St. Mary's Church and had attended its grade school. He also was a member of Monroe Council 1266, K of C; the Frenchtown, St. Mary's, St. Michael's and St. John's Senior Citizens, and the Comboni Missionaries. Surviving are his wife and a son, Robert, of Monroe. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta Mental, Bertha Eckert and Dorothy Layman. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Cancer Foundation or Comboni Missionaries.
