These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ___________________________________________________________________ Death of Mrs. Van Steenburgh 2-8-1940 Dundee News Mrs. Betty Jane Van Steenburgh, age 16, died at Mercy Hospital Friday morning at six o'clock. She had been confined to the hospital since Dec. 20. Mrs. Van Steenburgh was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Charters of Oak Street, Dundee. Betty Jane was born in Monroe on July 2, 1923. She leaves besides her parents, an infant son; her husband; two brothers, Harold and Raymond, both of Dundee; her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Sims of Dundee, and grandparents in Kansas. The body remained at the Kyper Funeral Home, where services were held Sunday, followed by a service at two o'clock at the Methodist Church, with the Rev. R.E. McLean officiating. Burial was made in Mapelwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clyde Bolster, Emerson Bolster, Leroy Bowman, Arthur and Leo Cooley and Floyd Steinway. Survived by a sister Louis. dz
