In the 2nd cemetery of St. Patrick's Parish, on Exeter Road near Carleton, 
Michigan, there is headstone labeled:

                                             York
                                        McManus
                  Maria York                          John McManus
                  1840-1889                           1851- 1932

I am pretty sure this is the grave of John and his Aunt, Maria (Ward) York. 
I'm not sure why they are buried together. John was listed as the sponsor of 
the baptism of Maria's daughter, Elizabeth York. They  both seem to have spent 
a good portion of their lives as widower and widow, so perhaps they lived 
together before Maria died in 1889.
