Picture taken 4-4-05 at Whiteford (Union) Cemetery. Joe Diehn was killed in WWI
in St Michel France. Headstone reads Joseph W Diehn, 1890 to 1918. 

Additional Comments:
There is a Joseph W Diehn VFW in Sylvania Ohio. Joe grew up on a farm on
Sylvania-Metamora Rd. He was born on July 13, 1890 in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
According to Ohio Military Men, 1917-18, he enlisted 02 Oct 1917 and was killed
September 12, 1918 in St Michel France. He was buried in France with reburial in
Whiteford in June 1921.
