Mrs. Harley Bump, nearly 85 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Bump because citizens of 
Bloomer township in 1854, pioneers of the region. Her husband is nearly 89 years 
old. An obituary says, On Saturday morning she got up as usual, dressed herself 
and came to breakfast and asked a blessing as was her usual custom. Afterwards 
she read her morning lesson from the scripture and called on her daughter, 
Martha Birdsall, to lead in prayer, and then sang two verses. At noon she went 
to the table ands within a short time had a stroke of paralysis and died Monday, 
June 22, at 9:00 a.m. The funeral was held Wednesday, June 24.
