Fishell was born May 18, 1862 near Grand Ledge and passed away after a week's illness, Jan. 21, 1917 at his home in Bloomer, aged 54 years, 8 months, 8 days. He lived with his parents near Grand Ledge till about nine years old when they moved near Palo where he lived with the exception of twenty years' residence at Vickeryville where he was in business. He was united in marriage to Allie Waggoner May 27, 1886 and to them came one son, Lloyd R. Fishell. He is survived by his wife and son, an aged mother of Greenville, a brother, A.W. Fishell of Lansing and a sister Nora VanTassel of Greenville. Those who came to attend the funeral of H.W. Fishell were Abe Fishell, Lansing; Mrs. Rachel Fishell, Mr. and Mrs. Art Smith, and Mrs. Jennie Rosman, Greenville; Mrs. Carrie Younger, Belding; Mrs. Etta Sherrard, Mrs. Vera Griswold and Mrs. Lottie Riley, Harvard and Vern and Frank Downs of Smyrna. Mrs. Lottie Riley of Harvard went to her home Friday but came back Monday for an extended visit with Mrs. Fishell.
