SHERIDAN - Rayburn A. Gavitt, 410 W. Pine St., Stanton, died today, Nov. 23, 
1987, at Carson City hospital. 

He was born Oct. 28, 1906, in Stanton, the son of Alberton and Edna Gavitt. 
A former longtime resident of the Carson City rea, he had been a resident of 
the Stanton area since 1983. 

He was retired as an independent mail carrier. Mr. Gavitt was a life member 
of the Carson City Masonic Lodge.

On April 24, 1932, he married the former Wilma Florence Gleason. She 
survives.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law; a sister, Mrs. Lila Brown, 
Stanton; two brothers, Leo Gavitt, Sheridan, Alvah Gavitt, Sidney; three 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home, 
Sheridan.
