When she was five years of age her parents came to Michigan, living for a time in Ronald township, Ionia Co. In the year 1866, they came to the homestead in Bushnell where they resided during the remainder of their lives. After the death of her parents Sarah still remained at the old home, a member of her brother John's family. Being of a quiet, retiring nature, the greater part of her life was spent in the home circle where she was ever faithful and devoted to the interests of the family. She departed this life March 1, 1922, a the age of 61 years, eleven months and seven days. She leaves to mourn their loss one sister, Mrs. Chas. Knapp, of Palo, her brother John, four nieces, three nephews and many other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held on March 3 at the East Bushnell church, REv. Holcomb of Palo officiating. Interment was made in the Palo cemetery.
