Carson City Gazette, Thurs., July 7, 1927
Mrs. Rosa Lowe, a highly respected pioneer resident of this locality, passed 
away Thursday noon at her home, after a lingering illness. She was 85 years of 
age and is survived by two sons, George of Grand Rapids, and Frank of 
Washington, and one daughter, Mrs. Julia Smith, who cared for her during her 
declining years. Another daughter, Mary E. Lowe, who was well known in school 
work all over the state, passed away several years ago. Funeral services were 
held a Vickeryville Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Paul Boodagh. 
Interment in the family lot at Palo. Her son Frank was unable to come for 
funeral services. They have the sympathy of many friends in the loss of their 
kind mother.
