Martha Annette Yates was born June 2, 1852 in Chill, New York, and passed 
away December 31, 1935 at her home at Bloomer Center.

She came with her father to Michigan when ten years of age, her mother 
having died when she was four years old. They live at Palo for a time and 
later moved to Ferris township.

She was united in marriage to Geo. H. Miner, March 18, 1874. Two children 
were born to them, a baby daughter passing away in infancy. The son, M. Jay 
Miner, survives. Mr. and Mrs. Miner came to Bloomer township at the time of 
their marriage. She has resided on the same farm since 1882. Mrs. Miner has 
always e a great church worker.

The funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, Rev. John H. 
Lockyear officiating. Interment was made in the Bloomer Center Cemetery.
