Mrs. Winne never regained consciousness following an accident at the Butternut corners, three miles west of Carson City Tuesday forenoon, October 30. Officers reported she drove her car onto M-57 in the path of an eastbound oil tanker driven by William Burdick. Hospital attendants reported her death was due to head injuries. Lewis Herrick, lay preach , officiated at the services which were in charge of the Stebbins Funeral Home of Sheridan. Interment was made in the Palo cemetery. Mrs. Winne was born in Bushnell township January 27, 1878 and lived most of her life on the farm where she was born. She was married to Theodore Hoyt in 1895, and he preceded her in death in 1899. She married Esquire Winne in 1906 and he, too, preceded her in death in 1910. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Wolverton and Mrs. Leslie Sherd RFD; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, H.L. Greenhoe of Carson City RFD and N.E. Greenhoe of Muir. Mrs. Winne was a member of the Pal and OES lodges.
