Civil War Veteran. Enlisted 7 September, 1862, in Hope, MI, & in Company K, 
Michigan 6th Cavalry Regiment on 13 Oct 1862. Promoted to Full Corporal. 
Transferred to Invalid Corps, 15 Jan, 1864. Mustered out on 15 Jan 1864.
