Lewis W. Wilbur; B. 21 June 1839; D. 22 Nov 1901

Additional Comments:
Civil War Veteran. Enlisted 16 Aug, 1861,& in Company B, Illinois 44th Infantry 
Regiment on 13 Sep 1861. Promoted to Full Sergeant. Mustered out on 13 Sep 
1864. Suffered a gunshot wound in the ankle, during the war.  Cause of death 
was listed as Valvular disease of heart; Exhaustion; Heart failure; Lobar 
Pneumonia & Dropsy. Born in New York. Mom was Fatima Parish. Buried 23 June, 
1901.
