Jenkins who has been sick for the past two months. peacfully closed his eyes upon the things of this world and opened them upon the fair banks of the river of life. Mr. Jenkins was a great sufferer, but was patient through it all. He leaves a wife, two sons, four daughters, one brother and a sister to mourn his loss. He was a kind husband, an indulgent father, and an earnest Christian. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.C. Parsons at the M.E. church and his remains were laid to rest in the Morley cemetery. Rev. Jenkins served as pastor in several paces on Big Rapids district. Calm on the bosom of thy God. Fair spirit, rest thee now! E'en while with us thy footsteps tred, His seal was on thy brow. Lonely are the paths and sad the bowers Whence thy meek smile is gone. But O, a brighter home than ours, In heaven is now thine own."
