The Alpena Evening News, Alpena, Michigan, Monday, March 6, 1905 DEATH OF PIONEER - Paul Sheff of Hillman Passed Away Sunday Paul Sheff an old resident of Alpena county died at the home of his son-in-law Napoleon Lafave in Hillman Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Sheff was born in Montreal 90 years ago and has lived in this city for the past 23 years. He at one time conducted a meat market here. Old age was the direct cause of death. He had been confined to his bed three weeks previous to his death. The surviving children are Amil, Edmond and John Sheff of this city, Mrs. A. Monette of the Indian Reserve and Mrs. N. Lafave of Hillman. The funeral will be held from St. Anne's church at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning.
