Michigan Uxorcide Goes Under Observation for Sanity

Muskegon, Mich., Sept 22.-Dr. Otis Sedgwick of Whitehall, charged with the 
murder of his wife and three-year-old daughter, whose bodies were found in the 
front yard of the Sedgwick home, has been committed to the state hospital at 
Traverse City for observation as to his sanity. This action was taken by the 
county prosecutor upon advice of a number of physicians who examined the 
accused man and pronounced him in a state of mental collapse. Pending the 
outcome of treatment county officers announce, the charge will remain against 
Dr. Sedgwick.
