Muskegon Chronicle
Born June 2, 1919 to George and Zelda Erickson of Muskegon. Robert is survived 
by his wife of 58 years, Norma (Shannon) and four children: Judith (Joel) 
Schuitema of Portage, Timothy (Darae Benjamin)Erickson of Muskegon, Kathleen 
(Cleo) Townsend of DeWitt; Barbara (Dale) Johnson of Muskegon.  Also survived 
by his brother, Donald P. Erickson of Muskegon and sister, Doris Geoghan of 
Muskegon. He has eight grandchildren and one great grandson.  Robert served in 
the US Army as a staff sergeant in the Pacific Theater during WWII.  He worked 
for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.
