Kunz, 77 years old, prominent Norton resident and leader in agriculture, died early today at his home on Seng road, R.R. 1, where he had lived his entire lifetime. He was ill about a year. Born Jan. 12, 1866 on the Kunz farm, he had always been a farmer. Mr. Kunz was a charter member of Lake Harbor Grange and active in Pomona Grange, a former president of the Fruit Growers association, and a former director of the Muskegon County Farmer Bureau. He was active in the Muskegon Farmers' Market committee when it was formerly under farmer control at Western avenue and Ottawa street, and had a part in organizing the Muskegon Production Credit association, later was moved to Grand Rapids. Mr. Kunz was a former justice in Norton and also had held other township offices. He was an agent for the State Farm Insurance Company. He was a member of the Churchill Mission. On Sept. 7, 1904, Mr. Kunz was married to Minnie DeWitt in Muskegon. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Erenst Radel, Muskegon; two sons, Chester, Rock Island, Ill., and Herbert, at home; a sister, Mrs. Nora Steinhauer of Norton; two brothers, Allen, Traverse City, and John, Grand Rapids, and three grandchildren.
