Muskegon Chronicle - 24 Nov 1941

AUGUST POLLAKOWSKY, HERE 60 YEARS, EXPIRES
August POLLAKOWSKY, 81 years old, a resident of Muskegon for 60 years, died 
early today at his home at 442 Marshall Street, following a short illness.

Mr. POLLAKOWSKY was born in Germany 3 Dec 1859 and came to Muskegon in 1881. 
He was married to Anna KLAWITTER on 22 Jun 1896.

For a number of years he had been in retirement.

Surviving are the widow and three children: Mrs. Joseph NEWVILLE and Mr
Axel NORMAN, and Fred ZAHRT, all of Muskegon. He leaves five grandchildren.

Mr. POLLAKOWSKY was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and 
the Woodsmen of the World.
