It was reported Mr. White and another employee, Frank Sipos, after repairing an electric crane, left it by stepping down to the rail on which the crane operates and from there were to step across to a core room on the second floor. Mr. White apparently slipped on the rail and fell, although no one saw him fall, and struck another smaller beam 15 feet lower from whence he fell the remaining 30 feet to the floor. He was rushed by the Clock ambulance to Hackley Hospital at 7 p.m. and died there 40 minutes later without regaining consciousness. Coroner John DeHorn ordered a post mortem examination to be made today. Born March 15,1884 at Manistee, Mr. White spent his early years there and moved in 1903 to Minnesota for a short residence before moving to Alberta, Canada. In 1925 he returned to Michigan to live at Hamlin Lake in Mason County until coming to Fruitport township where he had been since. Mr White was married to Nancy A. Boxell in Mason County Feb. 12, 1921. He leaves his wife; three sons, Joseph H White, Muskegon, William L., at home, and Robert C., with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. John Ruba, Ludington, and Mrs. Kennith Hawkins, Muskegon; four brothers, Fred and George White in Canada and Albert and Frank White, Manistee and six grandchildren.
