Peter was the patriarch of the Conklin Family in this area. He lived until 
1873, outliving two wives.

Additional Comments:
Peter Conklin was born in New York State and moved here in the 1840s. His first 
wife Lucy died in Ravenna and the family moved back to New York for about a 
year and then moved back to Ravenna. Peter then married Nancy P. Doane. The 
three are buried next to each other in the Conklin plot.
