Nicholas W. Kempf, 80 passed away on Tuesday evening, Aug 19, 2008 at 
Transitional Health Services of Fremont.
He was born on Nov 29, 1927 in Fremont to Werner and Linnea (Ellesson) Kempf. 
He attended First Church of Christ Scientist in Fremont. Nick retired from 
Terry's Furniturein Fremont where he worked with floor coverings and layouts. 
He loved agriculture, which included farming and gardening. On July 2, a949 he 
married Doris M Blundell and she preceded him in death on Dec 4 2007.he was 
also preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Kempf and by his sister Virginia 
Comis.
Survivors include four children, Kath (Ron) Alford of Holton, Wendy (Richard) 
Norman of LaCanada, California, Marc Kempf of Holton, and Linnea Kempf of Palos 
Verdes, California; five grand children, nine great grand children, and sisters 
in law and brothers in law, Vera kempf of Holton, Chuck Comis of Fremont, 
Raymond and Sharon Derby of Petaluma, California.
Private graveside services were held at Maple Grove Cemetery with Stephanie 
Rinard, Practitioner, officating. Suggested memorials are Hospice of Michiagn- 
Newaygo county or the Fremont Area District Library.
