Stroven passed away, Tuesday morning, October 29, 2002 in Fremont. He was born October 11, 1921 in Fremont, Mi to G>D> and Reka (Balder) Stroven. He had been a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and he was a retired US Postal employee. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fremont, and the Newaygo County Society of History and Geneology. He was also the founder and owner of Windmill Gardens. On August 9, 1945 he married the former Barbara P. Train, and she survives him along with three children, Dan E, Timothy J. and Jan L.; one sister Genevieve Feller of Mo. He was preceded in death by his half brother; George W. Stroven, and two half sisters, Hazel Travis and Bertha Eisenach. Internment in Hillside Cemetery, Grant, Mi.
