Fremont Library
Fremont - Jake Visscher, 88, of Fremont, passed away Monday afternoon, March 
1, 1999 at Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant. 
He was born to Engbert and Henrietta (VanRhee) Visscher on March 20, 1910, in 
Reeman, Michigan. He married Jennie Sneller on June 11, 1930, she preceded him 
in death on Feb. 2, 1999. 
He was a life member of Reeman Christian Reformed Church, where he had been a 
Sunday school teacher, and served as elder, deacon, and custodian. He retired 
from the Fremont Post office. 
Survivors are his children, Robert and Angie Visscher of Bradenton, FL, Louis 
and Judy Visscher of Grand Rapids,MI Edwin and Lavon Visscher of South 
Haven,MI Joyce and Dale Wagner of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, James and Judy Visscher 
of Fremont,MI and Sherry Stafford of Teagarden, IN; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-
grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
