Civil War Veteran.  Enlisted Conway MI, 17 Sep, 1861, & in Company K, Michigan 
9th Infantry Regiment on 15 Oct 1861. Promoted to Full Corporal on 07 Dec 
1863.Promoted to Full Sergeant on 15 Oct 1864. Promoted to Full 1st Sergeant on 
01 Jan 1865. Mustered out on 15 Sep 1865 at Nashville, TN. Buried 27 Feb 1917. 
Died of old age. Born in New York. Died in Grant, MI.
