Rochester, June 21,- Calvin Shoe- maker,a well known and prosperous farmer, living southwest of this vil- lage, died last night at the age of 79 years. He had been in failing health for the past three months and died of senility. He was a native of New Jer- sey, and came to Michigan 50 years ago, and purchased the farm where he died. He was one of the oldest memebers of the Masonic lodge at Pon- tiac. The funeral, which will be under the auspices of the Pontiac Masons, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Baptist church. Rev. G. W. Jennings of Owosso offi- ciating. Burial will be made in Ro- chester cemetary. The widow and seven children sur- vive. Dr. Jacob S. Shoemaker of Montrose, Rev. Philip S.
