Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Van Wagoner, of Oxford, were here and at Orion Saturday. Mrs. H. Burmeister is entertaining her mother. Mrs. Trowbridge from near Grand Rapids. Nellie Terry, of Dryden is the guest of her aunt. Mrs. May Merritt for a few days. Mrs. Caroline Brokenshaw is recov- ering from her recent fall when she substained two cracked ribs. Mrs. Lu Delano of Thomas is hav- ing trouble with her leg, which was hurt in a recent runaway. Blood pois- oning set in. Mrs. Orville Rhodes was very for- tunate in finding a $10 blil which she has lost Saturday evening at McLaughlin's where she had been trying on shoes. Mr. and Mrs. J. Yetter were at Mr. Markham's at Ortonville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Green visited his nephew and family, A. E. Porter, at Ortonville, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Price visited at Augus Detwilder's in west Oxford Sunday. Miss Eva Scott visited her people in Brandon Sunday. Mrs. D. W. Foster and daughter of Orion visited at O Porter's north- east of town Saturday. Philo Glaspi brought in an eight pound pike Saturday evening. Mrs. Marvin Youngs and mother, Mrs. Ruth Pevins, from near Thomas, were in town Saturday evening. H. Burmeister was at Thomas Sat- urday evening. C. A. Ward and wife left Monday to attend the G. A. R. state encampment to be held at Holland this week, and also to attend a family reunion. Marvin Youngs near Thomas is painting his farm buildings and other- wise improving his place. Mrs. Hiram Curtis of Addison was some family lots at the cemetery. William Blashill was in Detroit Monday. Miss Bina Winslow visited her peo- ple at Kingston Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Allen visited his people at Lum Sunday. Job Warren spent Sunday with his wife in Pontiac. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Dibble of Flint, were visiting friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Carmer attend- ed sevice here Sunday. James Davis and family have gone to Detroit. Their goods are packed ready to go as soon as they get a house. Mrs. Leo Craig and baby of Detroit are visting at their aunt, Mrs. Winn Clark's. Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Brockman of Pontiac were here Saturday on their way to spend Sunday with her people, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Travis, at west Oxford. Mrs. Eugene Mosher and children, of west Oxford, visited her people, Mr. and Mrs. Fred VanWagoner, Sat- urday. Mr. and Mrs. O. Porter of north- east Oxford, called on her brother, A. H. Green and wife, Saturday even- ing. Charles McVey was home from De- troit over Sunday. Mrs. O. W. Lawrence and Mrs. Walter Seely of Detroit, were here Monday arranging the rooms in the lower Barber flat as Mr. and Mrs. Seeley expect to come here Wednes- day to vegin housekeeping. Theresa Markle of Detroit visited Mrs. Mary Cole Sunday. Mrs. E. C. Savoy of Davision vis- ited her sister-in-law, Mrs. T. Brown, Sunday. Edward Delano is in poor health at present.
