The Van Wagoner Family a Genealogy by Philo Van Wagoner pg 98 Lasting fragrance of a life that has flown. At the hour of ten last Saturday morning, while love kept vigil by her couch of pain and breathed sweet benedictions on her brow, there passed away the gentle spirit of one whose life was the embodiment of noble young womanhood, and whose gracious impulses touched every phase of humanity --Miss Ida Banta, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Wm. Banta. Miss Banta was a Christian, not in name only, But upon that higher plane that demonstrates those virtues in a harmonious, beautiful life. A life--the memory of which gleams like a thread of gold through the dismal warp and woof of this old world--her name will not be forgotten for it will live in the affectionate regard of all who knew her, and grow greater in the good results which will follow.
