Claude K. Banta was born in Metamora Township, Lapeer co., October 29th, 1886,

and passed away Thursday, May 11th 1922 following an operation at Harper

Hospital, Detroit.  Mr. Banta had been a patient sufferer for years caused by an

injury to his spine.  For the past five years he has made his home in Hadley

with Mr. Warren Plummer and family where he had many friends.

He leaves to mourn his loss his father, William H. Banta; two brothers, Wm Jr.

of Oxford and Arie of Seymour Lake and Miss Edna Banta at home.

The remains was brought from Detroit, Thursday and taken to the home of his

father on Hudson Ave. from which the funeral services were held Sunday with

burial in the Oxford Cemetery.
