CORA BELLE CURTIS [This was in a scrapbook of Don Myers' (of Blanchard, MI), grandson of Edward S. Myers.] MRS. CORA BELLE CURTIS Mrs. Cora Belle Curtis, age 84, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Duane (Eva) Puvogel, 1103 Maplegrove, Royal Oak, where she had lived for the past five years. A Royal Oak resident since 1928, she lived at 620 South Lafayette for many years. Mrs. Curtis was born April 23, 1869, in Niles. She was married to Levi Curtis on Dec. 25, 1889. Mr. Curtis, who died July 27, 1945, established and for many years operated the Curtis Paint shop, 508 West Eleven-Mile, Royal Oak. A member of the First Methodist church, Royal Oak, for most of her life, Mrs. Curtis belonged to the WSCS and the Guild Sunday School class. She was also a member of Royal Oak chapter 392, OES, Royal Oak White Shrine 31, WS of J , and of group six of the Royal Oak Woman's club. Besides Mrs. Puvogel, she leaves three grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Luscombe, 21410 Lathrop, Southfield township, Mrs. Robert (Kay) Pruneau, 1609 North Altadena, Royal Oak, Nancy Puvogel of the Maplegrove address, and one great-grandchild. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the Virgo E. Kinsey funeral home, Lafayette and Fifth, Royal Oak. The Rev. Paul S. Durham of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Oakview cemetery.
